Somewhere on the West Side is a great hulking beast of a puppy – clocking in at 20 pounds at a mere 8 weeks.

Sigmadog has this to say of its lineage:

I don’t know how big the dog will get, but according to the caregiver, it’s mom was an english mastiff that when standing on its hind legs, and putting its paws on the shoulders of a 6-foot man, is still a half-foot taller than him. The father was reputedly a very large lab.

Damn. I suggested Sasquatch, Cerberus, Gulon and Lycan as potential names for this monster. Sadly my repertoire of large mythological creatures was not utilized in the naming process. They’ve settled on Boris (which is 100 times better than Monty – the other finalist).

Congrats to Sigma – there is a new dog in the house. Good thing Reggie has already been conditioned to having a larger dog lay on top of her insignificant size.
